To say it’s eye-catching is an understatement! Finished in Torch Red, over a black leather-clad interior, this sports car is pleasing all around. A few notable features are, black wheels, carbon ceramic brakes, center exit exhaust, digital dashboard, carbon fiber steering wheel, and carbon fiber trim pieces on the exterior and inside the car. This brand-new Z06 came to us from a very particular client who we enjoy working with. We knew that we could clean and protect the car to his satisfaction, so we were excited about the opportunity to work on his new car. 

It may sound crazy to say about a brand-new, expensive car, but the new factory paint was in need of some TLC. After a thorough two-bucket wash and inspection under our lights, a plan of attack was formulated. Upon inspection we noticed that the paint had holograms from the dealer prep of the car. From the factory painting process we found dull spots in the clear coat, sanding marks, and “pigtails.” We actually found the same issues with the factory paint on a brand new C8 E-Ray that we also worked on. It’s critical in the process of achieving an exceptional finish to inspect and correct issues like we saw in the paint of this brand new Z06. With a bit of work, we were able to address all the imperfections in the paint and correct all of them. 

Following a polish, we added a graphene ceramic coating to the exterior to protect it for years to come. This car was a great example of why a new vehicle should be taken to a professional detailer for paint inspection and a coating, rather than a dealer quickly applying a coating to the brand new paint. And if you’re wondering, our very particular client was particularly impressed with the finished outcome. We were impressed by the sound of the quick revving, flat-plane crank Z06 engine.
